All Benefits of the VestiFi solution at a glance

  • The VestiFi-Box is shipped by a courier service and does not require an operator, which greatly reduces the personnel requirements on site at the customer's premises, thus generating time and cost advantages while at the same time improving the quality of error diagnosis.
  • The VestiFi-Box enables measurements on 5 Wi-Fi channels in parallel in the 2,4 GHz/5 GHz band
  • The VestiFi-Box can be used independently of a network connection for long measurement periods (up to 4 weeks)
  • Spectrum analysis in the 2,4 GHz band and 5 GHz band, among other things, to detect interference that does not come from WiFi devices and to assess the WiFi signal quality (e.g. signal distortions due to multipath propagation)
  • The VestiFi-Box has remote maintenance access via mobile network (UMTS, LTE) or alternatively via integration into an existing, wired network
  • The VestiFi-Box can be used on mobile devices (e.g. forklifts, machines), which means that all criteria can also be displayed as maps as well

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers (FAQ)

How many VestiFi-Boxes do I need for a WiFi analysis?

The coverage area of the VestiFi box is roughly comparable to that of a classic enterprise access point. Usually, one VestiFi-Box is used. For large areas (e.g. warehouses), either one VestiFi-Box is relocated at planned intervals, several VestiFi-Boxes are set up simultaneously, or the VestiFi-Box is made mobile (e.g. forklift).

Do I have to integrate the VestiFi-Box into my WiFi network?

No, the VestiFi-Box does not have to be integrated into any WiFi network. The Box analyzes all relevant processes absolutely network independent.

Is the VestiFi-Box compatible with devices from all manufacturers?

Yes, the VestiFi-Box works with every WiFi device and can be used with any manufacturer without any problems.

How long can measurement data be recorded with the VestiFi-Box?

The memory module integrated in the VestiFi-Box records up to four weeks depending on the volume of data traffic at the measurement location. For longer projects, the measurement data can be transferred from the VestiFi-Box while the measurement is ongoing.

Can the VestiFi-Box be used for other purposes than WiFi troubleshooting?

The VestiFi-Box is also used in the context of final WiFi valdiations, proof of concepts, the (further) development of WiFi enabled products and the implementation of requirement analyses.

Does the VestiFi-Box already support the WiFi standard 802.11ax (WiFi 6)?

WiFi 6 is expected to be fully supported in 2023 with the launch of the next generation VestiFi-Box.
